write2screen have arranged for members of the Talent team from Creative England to come to Norwich to talk to you about latest development and what they are looking to support in terms of emerging talent. You may have already received an Eventbrite invitation to this event. On the same day, Tuesday 11 February 2014, there are two other sessions at which there will be representatives of their production services team, which might also interest you and people that you know. It is a great to have them here in Norwich.

How to get a job as crew in the Film & TV Industry, at NUA, Duke Street Lecture Theatre
Do you want to work in Film & TV as crew? Not sure how to find opportunities or what job you really want to do? Written so many cover emails and sent so many CVs with no replies that you’re starting to get fed up? This session will explain to you how to get ahead of the rest. How to write a CV that 'sells' you and makes you stand out from the crowd and find opportunities both in the East and nationally.
The event, for students only, is a 2 hour session run by Nicky Ball, Creative England’s National Crew & Facilities Manager, which concludes with a Q&A session. Writers, producers and directors have an opportunity to attend a briefing with
Celine Haddad, Senior Talent Executive and Head of one of the 2 new Creative England/BFI Talent Centres for England, Kate O'Hara the iFeatures manager and Creative England project manager for write2screen and Christopher Granier-Deferre, IFeatures executive producer.
Their focus will be on how Creative England and the BFI can support emerging talent and what opportunities there are for funding for film development, shorts, scripts and production including opportunities through iFeatures. This is a great chance to meet some of the decision-makers in film-funding, learn what they are looking for, ask for advice and start a conversation with them as well as meet other professionals in the field. It aimed at the write2screen network members but open to all and free to attend. 2014 is going to be a busy year, kicking off with a Creative England Crew night in Norwich at EPIC.
Creative England run monthly Crew Nights across the country and this is the first for 2014.
You will have the opportunity to meet with some of Creative England's film and productions services teams and hear about the Creative England film offer as well as connect with other crew, production companies, facilities houses and filmmakers in the region
The next round of iFeatures launches on 27th January 2014 and as part of the launch, the iFeatures team including the new Executive ProducerChristopher Granier-Deferre will be joining other members of the Creative England team at the crew night to tell you all about it.
If you have never been to a crew night before, it’s a great opportunity to meet fellow crew, facilities and production professionals from film, TV and digital media, and find out about what’s happening in your local area.
